SCHOOL HISTORY

Parañaque Senior High School with school I.D. 340636 started its operations last June 3, 2019 as a learning institution missioned to respond to every learner’s pursuit for Senior High School education. It is located along the corner of Tramo and Kabihasnan Street situated in the barangay of San Dionisio, Paranaque City. As a Small Stand Alone (SSA) Senior High School, it offers two TRACKS namely: Accounting, Business and Management (ABM) track  and Humanities and the Social Science (HUMSS) track. During the first semester, it has a total of 117 official enrollees. At present, it has a total of 105 enrollees. Most of the learners are completers of neighboring Public Junior High School within Paranaque City. The greater number of learners are residents of barangay San Dionisio, Paranaque City. It has seven Senior High  School teachers. It is opened and first overseen by Ms. Marilou De Jesus from May to July 2019 before Ms. Lourdes E. Magtangob takes full supervision and management of the access, quality and governance of the school. 

                 PSHS is a four-storey building with three classrooms per storey with a total of 12 classrooms. One of these classrooms is used as a canteen and the other one served as a computer laboratory. There are more than enough chairs for every learner. Since it is a Small Stand Alone and newly opened school it requires lots of rehabilitations and improvements to0 meet and to provide effective service delivery to all its subjects.

                  Paranaque Senior High School is established on a buildable space beside Paranaque Central Elementary School in which in front of it is the DepEd, Division Office of Paranaque City.

                   Regarding the health status of the learners, there were 14 learners recorded as wasted and two severely wasted. Most of the learners achieved normal weight.

As per data gathered, the total number of school age Senior High School learners ranging from 16-17 who are not enrolled neither in Private or Public school is 20. Majority of these numbers discontinue their studies due to financial reasons and are presently working. Some data gathered are ages above the range and are expressing their intention to continue or enroll in the SHS. 

                   Paranaque Senior High School has seven teachers. Four teachers had acquired Mater’s Units in their specific specialization namely: Filipino, General Science, Economics, and Applied Linguistics. One Teacher has earn his Master’s degree in Management. Of these SHS teachers, four are Teacher II and three are Teacher I. There are six  nationally funded teachers and division funded.
